When you start setting up your registration site, you might have a look at the General registration site settings. These settings are both related to what should be displayed on your registration site, as well as more general details regarding your registration process – Is there a limited amount of tickets? Is the a last date of registration? Should the attendees be able to cancel their registration?
Basic info tabs
Total tickets – if you put a total amount of tickets for your event, the system will automatically close the registration when the number is reached. Please note that speakers and other attendees you have added directly on the attendees list, will also count in this total, so add tickets accordingly.
Registration end date – if you enter a date here, the system will automatically close the registration after the date has passed.
Cancellation date – if you wish to give the attendees the chance to cancel their registration themselves, the you need to enter a date here. The date will be the last date this option is possible for the attendees. Note, that ‘My cancellation’ must also be activated – you find this tab under My account tabs if you scroll down in General registration site settings. For a further guide on cancellation – click here
Register with Linkedin and facebook – you can offer your attendees to register with their social media accounts. Be aware that it will insert their email address from this media – which might not be the email you wish them to register with.
Use waiting list module – if you are using the waiting list module, you must activate it here. Read more about waiting list here.
Display on registration site
Here you can activate/deactivate showing the amount of tickets left for the event and registration end date.
Choose the kind of registration site you will activate
Here you you choose if you have a free event or a billing event – an event where prices must appear on the billing items. You cannot change your choice, if you have already received registrations. Then you need to archive all the existing orders and billing/registration items, in order to change the choice.
Generation of emails
If you have a free registration event, then we recommend that you deactivate ‘send app invite email’ – or else the system will generate 2 emails, once the attendee signs up.
My account tabs
These settings are relevant if attendees log on to the registration site after they have registered to the event. They can log on to see or change their sub registration, edit their profile or cancel their registration.
